Ie Island, OKINAWA
Ie Island, characterized by Gusuku Hill(Iejima Tatchu) protruding like a pointed hat at its center, can be seen from Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium in the northern part of Okinawa’s main island. It is a popular remote island, accessible by a 30-minute boat ride from Motobu Port, attracting visitors wanting to experience the annual Ie Island Lily Festival in early May, coinciding with school excursions and the bloom of one million lilies.
The All-inclusive Premium Camping program is designed to address concerns of those who want to visit the remote islands of Okinawa and experience the outdoors, but don’t have camping equipment, and don’t have a lot of experience camping – even if they don’t know how to set up a tent! This program aims to solve these issues, providing you with the opportunity to immerse yourself in the nature of Ie Island, enjoy its idyllic scenery, and interact with the locals. Thanks to its warm climate all year round, camping on Ie Island is a year-round activity. The campsite is conveniently situated next to Ie Beach, the island’s finest beach, allowing tents to be set up on both the sea side and forest sides. During the hot summers, setting up tents in the forest provides a cool environment. Even in winter, with proper measures against the cold, you can enjoy a comfortable stay with fewer people around.
Upon meeting, everyone becomes like siblings! Grandfathers, grandmothers, fathers, mothers, friends, and children all gather, enjoying the camaraderie and family-like atmosphere.

First, climb up the summit of Mt. Gusuku (Iejima Tatchu)! It is a scenic spot where you can overlook the entire Ie Island. Also, the cliffs and coastline of Wajee on the north side of the island are beautiful, and it is highly recommended as a photo spot, with occasional rough waves crashing in.
you can enjoy a course of Iejima Beef, also known as “phantom beef,” due to its limited supply. In addition to Iejima beef, you can savor Japanese tiger prawns, vegetable skewers, chicken, sausages, rice balls, and more.
After dinner, gather firewood around the bonfire pit, roast marshmallows, listen to music while gazing at the fire, and enjoy the night in your own delightful way.
When you dim the lights in the tent, you can experience silence not found in the city, and witness a vast starry sky that can only be seen on Ie Island. Immerse yourself completely in this experience, accompanied by the soothing background music of the rippling waves.
Breakfast is available in a cooler box inside the tent. Please enjoy it at your preferred time.
Enjoy a beach walk while strolling along the shore! Start your day feeling great with the pleasant morning breeze on the beach.
Experience planting and harvesting crops like wheat and purple sweet potatoes! Ie Island is rich in agricultural produce, allowing for year-round experiences.
Make your lunch using harvested veges during the agricultural experience and wheat from Ie Island! Let’s make your own unique Okinawan dish with fresh island produce.
